American Idol Adam Lambert

It has always been known that American Idol can sky-rocket careers of upcoming talent. People who have come from nowhere end up being true stars thanks to the highly-touted music competition. The great thing about the show is you do not have to necessarily win to get recognized. That was exactly the case for last season’s runner-up Adam Lambert.

Despite being predicted to win the competition much of the way, Kris Allen stole the show with a shocking victory. However, that did not slow down Adam Lambert one bit with what he wanted to accomplish and what he can potentially do in the music industry.

Just a day after announcing Kris Allen’s deal, 19 Recordings revealed that had also signed Adam Lambert to a record deal. Not only has Lambert signed with them, but it was also announced that his debut album would be licensed to RCA Records for a fall release.

Runner-up or champ, the whole goal is to get signed by a record label and begin releasing albums as soon as possible. There are no signs of slowing down Adam just because of a setback in the American Idol competition.

As of right now, his cover of “Mad World” is all the way at No. 44 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Not only that, but he has three other singles that are on the chart as well. The other singles you can find on Billboard’s Hot 100 include “No Boundaries,” “A Change Is Gonna Come” and “One.”

It is every musician’s dream to get signed on and start recording their first album. For some, it takes time to get recognized and finally get picked up. For Adam Lambert, it really came as no surprise to anyone following the show. While there were concerns from some that he would fade following the loss in the season finale, those who knew him best believed he would prevail.

Adam says that he is thrilled with what has happened with the collaborative partnership and he is excited for the upcoming album. As far as the album goes, he believes everyone is 100 percent on the same page. He has put a lot of hype into the announcement of his album release saying that it is going to ridiculous. To build the anticipation, he said “Get Ready!”

As many expected, Adam Lambert is already flourishing since the recent finish to American Idol. After signing with a record label and already getting ready to release his first album, the future of Adam appears to look quite bright.
